ShellChemTech was founded by Jing Fu — not an entrepreneur who happened to enter chemistry, but someone who trained in the lab first and built the company second. She holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and has spent her entire working life inside this industry.
After graduation, Jing spent five years at a pharmaceutical manufacturer, where she learned what a real analytical package looks like and how seriously QA-minded buyers scrutinise every certificate, every peak, every lot. She then moved to a fine chemicals trading company for two years on the procurement side — sourcing reagents for drug discovery and preclinical programs around the world.
What she saw on the buyer's side was uncomfortable. Traders routinely positioning themselves as manufacturers. NMR and HPLC reports that didn't match the CAS on the label. Purity claims that couldn't survive an independent HPLC run. Small orders marked up several times over because the buyer had no alternative source. Researchers on real-world deadlines paying for problems they shouldn't have had to solve.
Jing became convinced there was a simpler way to run this business: be the actual manufacturer, not a middleman. Publish real data for every batch. Price fairly because the synthesis is done in-house, not re-sold. ShellChemTech was founded on those three commitments, and they remain the three commitments we are measured against today.

HPLC Purity Verification
All catalogue products are verified at ≥ 98% purity by HPLC — every batch before shipment. Custom orders are delivered to agreed specifications, with purity data included in the CoA.
Full Structural Characterisation
¹H NMR and LC-MS data collected for every batch, confirming structural identity and the absence of unexpected impurities. ¹³C NMR and additional analyses available on request.
Certificate of Analysis
Every shipment is accompanied by a lot-specific CoA including purity, characterisation data, storage conditions, and shelf life — available in digital format on request.
Safety Documentation
GHS-compliant MSDS provided for all compounds. Hazardous materials are packaged and shipped in full compliance with IATA and IMDG regulations.
Proper Storage & Handling
Temperature-sensitive compounds are stored under controlled conditions and packaged with appropriate cold-chain materials to maintain integrity during transit.
